I'm pleased to announce the double cd set release of Seattle's 80s metal heroes HELD UNDER / DISCOVERY.

Short bio taken from their myspace page:
HELD UNDER from Seattle (not to be confused with the Tri-Cities, NY band currently active), was formed out of the ashes of 80s Heavy Metal band DISCOVERY. After playing a few shows under the name DORIAN GRAY, they then changed their name to HELD UNDER and released the full length album "Dying Breed" on cassette in 1991. Contrary to what is said about "Dying Breed" on a few websites (like at Download.com), it was never officially released on CD, although, it was later mastered from original DAT format to CD-Rs by Bob Shook. They played a few more shows into 1992. The band dissolved after drummer Steve Oliver had a heart attack during rehearsal. They remained friends, getting together to record a few songs here and there into the late 90s...

The double cd set will include:

Disc 1: HELD UNDER - "Dying Breed" album from 1991 with 4-5 bonuses recorded between 1991-1995
Disc 2: DISCOVERY - "New Horizons" EP from 1988 with 8 bonuses recorded between 1986-1989

16-page booklet with info, band pics, lyrics, etc., and brand-new artwork by Dimitar Nikolov (he is drawing the artwork as we speak, will post a preview when available).
Hand-numbered edition, limited to 1000 copies.

Basically, this will be a massive collection of almost everything recorded from 1986 up to mid-90s. ESSENTIAL for fans of US 80s metal!

I am very much looking forward to it! The Held Under album is brilliant and I also like the Discovery stuff very much. To see this put together on one essential album is really great. I hope the cover will be different from the original, which wasn't really a good one.

The early DISCOVERY songs from 1986 are awesome! Fans of Leatherwolf, Fifth Angel, Heir Apparent, etc. will be blown away!

There is also a song from 1989 which is in King Diamond vein.

As I said already there will be brand new artwork. Dimitar is drawing it as we speak. There are no clowns on it as with the old artwork, it is an underwater picture as the name HELD UNDER suggests.

Late february. I'll announce exact date once we have sent it to the pressing plant and approved the proofs.

At this point I'll also start taking preorders for the autographed copies (first 250 will come with double-sided promo card hand signed by the band).

The artwork was drawn following Patrick and Mike Stevens' ideas. Mike wrote very in depth and complex lyrics and the artwork does have some dark philosophical meanings in it.

Meanwhile we have changed the logo already and it will have a different look on the finished product - a more cursive and elegant appearance.

It rounded to be a MONSTER anthology with 15 Held Under and 14 Discovery tunes and 16-page booklet with band bio and all lyrics.

In other news I managed to get in contact with Doug Lee and he is tentatively interested in SIREN demo anthology. Keep your fingers crossed!

I'm also in contact with two other mindblowing classic/power US bands. One of them has an unreleased album from late 80s which will blow away fans of Oliver Magnum/Liege Lord/Savage Grace/Slaughter Xtroyes bigtime!

Jonah Quizz anthology is in the works too... so much great albums to release, so little cash... please support my current releases to help me get the next ones out!

I'll announce if/when the contracts are signed. They are not very known bands, but great nevertheless!
