Absoluter Killer-Stoff. Klingt, als seien die Youtube-Songs von einer x-mal kopierten Cassette gezogen worden. Die Songs wurden offenbar in einem richtigen Studio eingespielt, zumindest steht das irgendwo bei Youtube.

Hello Pavlos.

Thank you for your interest In Von Helsing. I was the Bass player from late 1986 to 1988. I played on the first demo with Jeff Black, but I was also in PRIMAL SCREAM with former Carnivore guitarist Keith Alexander, So I wasn't credited because I was under contract to Mercenary records. I played on all of the demos released in that time period except for the first one we did with Chaly Cate on Vocals.. There were 2 singers, the first being Jeff Black and then we had Chaly for a couple of recordings and a few shows. I'm Not sure which demo you are making reference to. I only wrote 2 songs for Von Helsing that were recorded while I was in the band. The Von Helsing song I was known for writing was called "RESTIN PAIN" I also sang the lead vocal on this song. There were no less than a dozen members of Von Helsing, the 2 main Players were the Guitarists Andy Cimmino and Robert Heinrich. They wrote most of the songs so as far as a release I would have to speak with them, and neither of them ever seemed interested in doing that. But I would like to correspond more with you.

Für GODSPEED aus Australien gibt die Suchfunktion nur einen einzigen Eintrag her, und zwar vom ehemaligen Underground Metal Veteranen Sgt. Kuntz. Dessen Tipp hier im Australien Thread hatte ich mir damals zur Brust genommen, die drei Demos flugs runtergeladen (ehem....), und seitdem läuft dieser fantastische Stoff immer wieder mal im Hause Pavlos. Warum also nicht auch mal hier posten.....

Die Band brachte zwischen 1984 und 1988 drei Demos mit elf Songs raus. Darauf enthalten ist kraftvoller Heavy Metal mit treibenden Riffs (der heilige US Metal lässt grüßen....) und saustarkem Gesang (klingt wie HEIR APPARENT, und zwar sowohl vom Gesang selbst, als auch von den Arrangement her). Hört euch doch bitte mal die folgenden zwei Songs an, das ist doch 1a Thunda from Down Unda Stoff!!!

(Der Chor bei We Are Forever macht mich fertich....)



Die meisten SOngs der Band gibt es auf youtube zu hören, auf Quarterpipe Records gibt es denn ganzen Stoff für´n paar Euro sogar komplett als Download ( plus Biographie): http://www.quarterpiperecords.com/artists/godspeed/

the Latent Fury release will ever happen as it just became a lot of work and we ran into
some obstacles after the first few rehearsals we had. Never say never but right now
it's looking like a looongshot. Wish I had better news for you but hopefully I will be
working on some new music, Ion Vein or another project soon!

Nachdem England in den Recordbattles 09-12 zu meinem Unverständnis gegen teilweise lahmsten US Metal oder Segelschiffpiraten untergeht, kommt nun Metal for the Underground masses mit SOURCE aus Schweden. Zwei Ex-Portraitisten und der rammende Sängerbock Oscar toben sich hier aus. Drei Songs des Stahls, bisher als Tape und DL erhältlich, CD keine Ahnung. Der Sound ist dufte, die Songs ebenso, that's METAL! :yeah:
