I was lucky to discover a friend of mine was actually a girlfriend to Mark Laskowski for 20 years so things really snowballed from there. She witnessed it all and will write a massive liner notes for the booklet.

I have no idea where to search

But I got Ralf Hubert's permission, so whoever help me find the band will be given a box of 20 CDs as finder's award! This in case the band would be interested in working with me and the release happens, of course!

So let the hunt begin!

Isn't there any ancient information on the cover of that cd or demo tape? There's an old phone number that belongs to their manager, but like I said, it's ancient. Perhaps you can find them on Myspace. According to myspace there's a William Ackerman from Dublin CA and he's caught on camera with long hair and a set of drums. If you take a good look on the case behind him you see a sticker from Guns 'n Roses, the same one as it was on the t-shirt he wore on the back of the album-cover. It might be someone else, but you never can tell. Drummer, long hair, Dublin CA, Guns 'n Roses ;) and maybe Last Descendants, who knows. Too bad the last time he logged in was somewhere in 2007.

It seems that their old drummer Doug Teixeira (before or after William C. Ackerman, don't know exactly) is playing in a band called Blitzenhammer nowadays (http://www.blitzenhamer.com/ ) Perhaps he has kept contact with some members from Last Descendants?

Any luck yet?

After doing some research on my own and talking to some people from local Bay Area 80s bands the hunt for Last Descendants went on a backburner. The reason is I've made some startling discoveries and I'm concentrating on two unreleased albums by cult Bay Area 80s bands no one outside of the bands knew about their existence! Much more exciting projects than paying hefty licensing fees for re-releasing already well known album.

Not that I wont re-release LD if I find the band, but it is not a priority anymore.

Iordan, great choices once again man! Especially looking forward to those Target Re-Releases....they deserve a Stormspell high-quality release!
