Sacred Heart from 1989

Beitragvon byronnemeth » 12. Dezember 2011, 19:41

Hello Everyone!

This is Byron Nemeth, guitarist of the band Sacred Heart from the 1989 era of Heavy metal music. I join the Sacred Metal Board becasue a good friend of mine from Germany thought that it might be a good idea if I reached out to the Metal community to ask a question.

Sacred Heart in 1989 released 1 cassette called "The Vision". In recent times more and more copies of "The Vision" have been selling well on eBay and becasue of this my friend brought up the idea that I should consider re-releasing "The Vision" as an official new CD re-release for 2012 with fully re-mastered music music and original artwork and all liner notes.

Do you guys think that their would be a high enough demand for a re-releasing "The Vision" as an official new CD re-release?

I welcome all good thoughts and comments on this, everyone please feel free to chime in with what you might think would be good ideas on this question.

Thanks so much everyone!!!

Byron Nemeth

Don't know anything from "Sacred Heart" yet. Are there any sound-snippets available?

Your friend was certainly right that this place is where you gonna find some connoisseurs of good old progressive power metal. :smile2:
I think it won't be difficult to find people interested in Sacred Heart's music BUT the problem may be that there are only 3 songs. There probably aren't any live recordings so it might get difficult to find material to fill the CD with.
(Unless..... Reunion? :tong2: :yeah: )

Sounds great!

According to Metal Archives there is at least a fourth track:
Unreleased Sampler Track :
"Time After Time" - Heavy Artillery (1991, Auburn Records)

I still have 'Heavy Artillery' on Cassette and I would buy a remastered version of 'the Vision' as long as it is packed with some more material.

Hello Everyone Again!

Thank you for your nice comments, really appreciate it.

Yes their is a 4th track, "Time After Time" that was released on the Auburn Heavy Artillery album so that would bring the track count with the Original Sacred Heart line up to 4 songs.

My thought to fill out the CD and make it more complete would be to add 6 more new tracks from the BNG 2010 EP
(Byron Nemeth Group) that was only released as an MP3 album on iTunes. These 6 songs are in a similar in style to the Sacred Heart songs (maybe a little more progressive) but I think would fill out the CD nicely.

The focus of course would be to market this a a Scared Heart re-release full re-mastered with original artwork and liner notes plus I have some really cool pictures from that time period that I could add in the booklet and an explanation and some info on the BNG 2010 EP.

I welcome all your comments.

Thank You again my friends.

Hi Byron.

i can say that all four tracks of SACRED HEART are pure gold for me. The harmony vocals and the melodies are over the top plus the great, mostly inventive songwiriting. But since i have the tape already (actually even two copies) i don't need a CD version. A well made vinyl version would be a different story though.

Anyway, good to have you here and best luck with your project.
