Hello! And welcome...

Hi all!

Just a quick note to introduce me/us! We're a rock/metal act based in York who were introduced to this board by none other than Michael!! You can check out our stuff at ReverbNation and download free mp3s of our first few demos...

The board makes interesting reading, especially when I try to practice my ever so rusty German on the other boards!! Great to see so many metal fans, and hope to be seeing you all at gigs some time soon...

We're playing support to GUN in June in York so if any of you are from the area pop along and make yourselves known (You might even get a freebie)!!

Welcome, Morpheus Rising (the second Morpheus here, by the way)! Your heavily NWoBHM-influenced music has caught me by surprise. 'Fighting man', 'Those who watch', 'Lord of the north' and 'In the end' are top-notch tracks. Expressive, vocals, a great old school feel - that spiralling twin-guitar attack in 'Save the day' alone is amazing. Is there perhaps an album in the making?

Prof,

Thanks for your comments :) It's great to get positive feedback from real metal fans!!

The twin guitar sound is something we view as part of our 'sound' and will feature heavily ion all of our tracks.

As for an album, you can download 'low' quality mp3s of the tracks on our site or on ReverbNation, but you can purchase the 5 tracks Fighting Man, Save The Day, Those Who Watch, In The End and Lord of the North as an 'album' on iTunes and as a CD from our online store...

We have written more material since recording those original demos and are currently fine tuning them before we disappear to the studio later in the year to record the album. It's gonna be huge!! Some of the tracks are amazing and the work Pete and Daymo (our guitarists) are producing never ceases to amaze me!

Thanks again for the comments, and I hope you continue to enjoy listening as much as we enjoy making it :yeah:

I've received your CD today, thanks.

The EP is really good, considering that it's a demo.
Your sound is very old school, but it doesn't only copy it in my opinion. It's unique and somehow modern (but in a good way). :smile2:
Keep up the good work.

Helvetets, cheers!!

We've always described our style as NWoBHM-TNG (A kind of cross between metalheads and trekkies :cool2: ) We love the old school twin guitar sound as you'll be able to hear but are heavily influenced by some of the newer material that's around including acts which include Within Temptation and Alter Bridge etc so we try to add atouch of new without taking away from the sound we love!!

Glad you enjoyed the EP, watch this space for news of new tracks being available soon, including a BBC Radio session (yet to be recorded) and a live gig or two (in about a month, possibly with video as well), we're also hoping to get a couple more demo tracks up before the end of June... it's busy!! And it's rockin'!!

STOP PRESS

Just a quick one for all the readers outside of the UK. Our site has international shipping set up if you're out of the UK. I've noticed on the last few CDs which have been purchased that, although the site charges £4.50 for postage, the real cost is nearer £1.50 - £2 so I've been refunding those from this forum who have purchased the CD the difference... anyone who buys it who is on this forum will get the same deal... I will refund anything that is not used in postage costs!! Just make a note in the special instructions part of the checkout process that you found us from Sacred-Metal.de and I'll do the rest...

(My German's really bad, so if someone could post this fact in the German speaking forum I'd be really grateful!!)

Cheers Loomis!!

Those Who Watch is my personal favourite... not sure why, there's no solo and it's a much mellower track, but there's just something about it I love!!

As for Fighting Man, that's been a 'labour of love' since we got together... and it's still growing even since it's been recorded!!

Will keep you all posted about any new material as it happens ;)
