These guys were on top of the metal scene in texas in the 80's. They've played with King Diamond, Megadeth, Slayer, S.A. Slayer, Watchtower, Metal Church, Omen, Nasty Savage, Exciter, and many other bands. They have just recently reunited after a 20+ year hiatus!! I was lucky to see them perform live on Jan2nd. They are really cool guys and we are setting up a show together very soon! You've really got to listen to them!!

Yeah, Militia rules big time! Their "new" CD is amazing....
You can't find music like this nowadays. Well, unless the Hierophant hammers out the debut. :)

Germany sounds like the place to be for this kind of metal! the TRUE metal! I'm excited for Militia to be playing at KIT, I hope they do well over there. We're trying to set up a show together before they leave to Germany and I definitely want to have that show filmed to share with everyone.

the Hierophant will rise in '09 ^_^.

Ripper!? "And The Dead Shall Rise" is a true classic in my opinion and Ripper's most likely my fave 80s metal band from Texas... would be totally awesome to see 'em at KIT someday with all their old costumes and stage show.

Yes, cool band. I have their first demo on this obscure Split-CD with Italian Epic Metal band Adramelch's Irae Melanox.

I would compare Syrus to early Agent Steel (with a little less speed) and early Helstar.

Ripper have no clue at all.....they ask for an unbelievable fee, so I guess they will stay forerver in Texas... ;)

Maybe they will reunite soon. I've been talking to Art, the guitarist, and it seems like a possibility.
