Kraken will be the year-end release with the second part of their anthology, supervised by Chris Tsangarides, coming up in November.

2011 the future…The future burns bright for Arkeyn Steel as bands expressing their interest to sign with the label seem to be coming one after the other. For the time being the two new Arkeyn Steel signings are Mercury Rising with their stunning 5-song demo compiled with an unreleased two-song demo with a different singer and 5-song live demo featuring their original very first singer.

The ultimate US power metal band Cyperus issuing their 1986 demo along with the unreleased LP-tape “Blow It Out Your Ass”! There’s no doubt that there is much, much more to come so stay tuned to Arkeyn’s channel for all the latest news!

Until Rain have almost finished composing their forthcoming album, to be released in 2011. However, the band's new EP is going to hit the stores on December 1st 2010 by Steel Gallery Records, and, as a prelude, offer a taste of the new album to the fans of Until Rain.

The EP's production has been completely taken over by Until Rain and recordings are being made at Oneiromancy studios.
This will be the first album the band will record with their new members, Yannis Papadopoulos (Vocals) and Bill Gagavouzis (Bass) and it will be called "Pandemic".

There will be eight tracks in the EP, including one from the forthcoming album, four brand new songs exclusively written for the Pandemic EP, and never released again, and another three very special tracks. Total length is about 42’mins of music. Here is the final tracklist:

Pre-order for Moriah is in place, but I will buy the Fatal Morgana disc as well. I'll have to look into Rex Mundi, as I'm not familiar with them. Good news about The Last Things as well. Looking forward to that release, great that there will be another Blackkout demo as a bonus.

The press release says 'a 3-song demo', so I suppose that's a demo that never went beyond the recording and mixing stage.

Listening to Rex Mundi on http://www.myspace.com/rexmundiband, I must say this is highly professional progressive metal. The three tracks on offer come across like a mixture of late-period Nevermore and Into Eternity. I'm not sure yet if I need this, though. It's very contemporary as far as the overall style goes and I'm definitely not a fan of the clean vocals versus growls type of thing. Having said that, the often counterpointed rhythm parts are impressive and vocalist Nick manages to produce a decent degree of Warrel Dane whilst still retaining his own voice and character.

If these three songs are anything to go by, the debut album 'Perception in design' should attract a fair bit of interest from outside Greece. In the tracks 'Words buried' and 'Figure in a dream' the band from Thessaloniki really aces it: complex structures all the way through, fine melody lines, details and fine guitar work galore. Rex Mundi's music most certainly is not for the ear easily strained.

By the way, I love the cover art. A highly sophisticated variation on geometrical design that almost 'reads' like a 21st century version of a Malevich painting. But I digress. For the progsters, Rex Mundi definitely are a band worth checking out.

Their demo tape is great, ans also the "Blackened Mystery" Album.
As far as I know, the follow up band "Mirror Black" also has some unreleased tracks left. I only have 2, but I've been told by the band that there are more
