I did, however, take a shower first.
Okay, here's my (somewhat shorter) JP-list:
1- Ample destruction (MetalCore-CD-version!)

('Dissident alliance' still gets me angry whenever I think about it, so that one's definitely not worthy of a best-of-listing).

Well, I gotta admit that I'm no real Jag Panzer fan (not my kind of music...I'm more the proggy kind of guy if you know what I mean *g*. You guys do write great songs though, no question about that!) but I'm gonna compose a list out of the albums that I own
1.) Ample Destruction (all time classic)
2.) Thane To The Throne (I love Shakespeare, hence I had to get this album and it was well worth the money! If only all your albums were like that *g*)
3.) Age Of Mastery (The Moors is a real killer song and one of my all time favorites!)
4.) Mechanical Warfare

so I don't have the orignal albums of the earlier material)

I still need to get Chain of Command... which is on my list of things to aquire in the next week (along with the new Threshold, Mob Rules & Flower King's albums).
Am I missing something? Casting the Stones isn't out yet... is it??? If it is, I'm REALLY losing touch! :blink: When I get it, I'm flying out to the "springs" and am going to cruise up & down Academy blvd. playing it at full volume!

Oh yes, I defaintly agree with you... and I do have this album, but it's (gulp!) a shoddy bootleg that I got many years ago. I didn't know it at the time, and it slighly ticks me off that my money went to someone that wasn't passing the money onto the band and was making a quick buck themselves. I only say this becasue I KNOW what it's like.
Since I'm a completist, I refuse to count a bootleg as an official album in my collection. ...and I know that the chances of running across the orginal release, even on vinyl or cassette, is slim to none.

Eins vorweg: Dieser Thread ist aus der Sicht eines "Mainstream"-Panzerfans geschrieben, denn erstens habe ich die Band erst 1999, als sie gerade musikalisch auf dem Zenit stand, kennengelernt, zweitens nenne ich auch nur die regulären Releases mein eigen.
Deshalb wäre es nett, wenn Ihr mir mit ein paar Infos weiterhelfen könntet:
- Gibt es eine prä-Parduba-Version von "Chain Of Command" mit Conklin am Mikro?
- Existiert vom ´86er Demo eine (Bootleg-) CD-Version?
- Besitzt jemand das kürzlich veröffentlichte Bootleg von Riot mit Conklin am Mikro und kann was dazu sagen?
- Welche Bonustracks besitzt die Metal Blade-Version von "Ample Destruction"?
TYRANTS (´83)
Die `83er EP war bereits ein durchgehend starker Hammer, der für "Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat" komplett berücksichtigt wurde. Jeder (!) der 5 Tracks ist ein Metal-Klassiker, wobei ich jetzt tatsächlich nicht weiß, welchen ich gesondert hervorheben soll. "Jag Panzer has control!"
Die einfachste Möglichkeit, heutzutage an die Originalaufnahmen heranzukommen, ist der weitverbreitetste Bootleg des "Ample Destruction"-Albums auf No Posers Records, der die genannten Stücke als Bonustracks enthält (ausdrücklich keine Werbung!).

1999 drückte mir ein Kommilitone mit den Worten "Du stehst doch auf so´n True-Scheiß" die Metalcore-CD von "Ample Destruction" in die Hand. Was soll ich sagen, ich war auf Anhieb völlig geplättet.
"Ample Destruction" ist eins der seltenen Exemplare von Alben, die wirklich NUR Highlights aufweisen. Hier gilt das alte Klischee von "Anspieltipp = gesamtes Album" einmal wirklich. Deshalb hier nur noch einmal der Verweis auf das völlig unglaubliche "Harder Than Steel", das ebenso völlig unglaublicherweise bei "Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat" unter den Tisch fiel. Ja hallo, geht´s denn noch???
Mittlerweile hatte ich das GlĂĽck, die Metalcore-CD fĂĽr 10 Mark in einem Plattenladen zu entdecken; die Bonustracks fallen gegenĂĽber dem eigentlichen Material kein StĂĽck ab.
Ach ja: Harry Conklin is god.

Nein. Kenn nur die Songs "Medicine Man" und "Magic Maker". Das Bootleg als solches hab ich weder gehört noch gekauft. Meinst du die 7"EP die mal am KIT vertickt wurde?
