Sacred Metal-Board

Well this is REAL bad news but French MALEDICTION have decided to split.... one of the very best band ever from this country is gone.. This is a real sad day for me I have to say considering the potential they had shown until now.... remember "Esclave Du Vice" and "Condamnés" forever....

Well Prof nothing was said in the statement they've sent around.... so i can't speak for 'em but I guess it's certainly due to the fact that things weren't moving the way they had expecting them to do in terms of recognition, record deal etc.... I know the main member had stopped working at its job for 1 or 2 years to spend all his time on the band a few years back so he was expecting bigger things...that never came. I guess it's mainly due to this but I'll know more soon....

That's sad. I just wonder, what they expected. To become multisellers? I love the music but it's nothing to feed an individual with or even a whole band. The times for this kind of metal are still hard, at least if you want to live from this. So therefor it's some kind of naive to hope for big sales.

What happened to their label? I have in mind that they closed their doors already some time ago!?

Yeah NTS Records closed their doors shortly after the mighty "esclave" got released.... I think the owner has a new label around though...

I agree and I have always regretted their expectations were so high.... Niclas from Stormbringer even offered them to release the demo on vinyl and they didn't take it in consideration.... it says quite alot....
