No offense, but these are the kind of releases that stop legitimate versions from ever being released. You are basically paying someone to steal someone else's music, while the guys who did all the work and paid to produce the music get nothing.

Well Jeff, I can totally understand your point of view but in thgis very case it's a sure thing that those recordings will never be relkeased officially simply because the musicians who recorded them considers them as shit (like it's too often the case) and it's done by fans for fans, not a major corporate bootleg thing if you see what I mean? Big difference here as far as I'm concerned.

We will have to agree to disagree. Whether it is a corporate bootleg, or one produced by "fans" it makes no difference if someone is making money off the release without consent. This would be no different if I as a fan were to republish older copies of your mag for money, and you didn't see a dime. Even if you weren't planning on rereleasing them, it is your work and you should be compensated for it.

Not to piss you off Jeff but I know some people make copies of older issues and i find this great.... I mean it gives the chance to other people your stuff when it's NOT AVAILABLE anymore, that's all the difference. I wouldn't support somebody who would make a bootleg of let's s

DIAMOND or whatever cos those bands are still around and need money from sales to stay alive BUT on the other hand if a band has broke up and when its a well known fact that the material that they consider themselves as SHIT, well I do support it a way -and not made for making money on people's back too even if they are not around anymore.
