Ihr lest ein bisschen schnell, kann das sein? Tim hat geschrieben, dass er mehrere tausend Dollar für "promotion, pressing plants, recording, mastering" ausgegeben hat, nicht nur für die Promotion. Auch wenn Tim möglicherweise übertreibt, sollte man ihm nicht sofort die Worte im Mund verdrehen.

An anderer Stelle (SKR-Forum) spricht er von 8000 - 10000 Dollar.
Ein paar Absätze später heißt es, dass er 500 CDs und 500 LPs gepresst hat. SKR lässt LPs in Tschechien pressen und CDs in den USA. Wenn man weiß, wieviel für Pressungen dieser Größenkategorie draufgeht, halte ich die Zahlen schon ein wenig übertrieben.
Ich will hier nicht Tim angreifen. Ich hatte bisher keine schlechten Erfahrungen mit ihm gemacht. Aber es ist auch bekannt, dass er eine ziemliche Drama Queen ist und bevor hier Hour of 13 als "Poser" hingestellt werden, sollte zumindest auch mal die Gegenseite gehört werden. Im Moment ist es "Hour of 13 böse - SKR gut", und das verzerrt die Tatsachen dann ja wohl doch ein wenig.

Da stimme ich dir vollkommen zu. Es ist aber schon traurig, dass man sich an die Öffentlichkeit wendet, um eine kleine Streitigkeit auszutragen.

As requested my reply to this nonsense:

"Here is the fact, Tim made a deal with us for a specific amount pressing of CDs and LPs. When we couldnt come to an agreement about additional pressings
he went into a tantrum. Since that time the relationship with Shadow Kingdom Records has been in a downward spiral until its complete demise upon him
adding our music to the digital download process without consent or permission. As for ripping him off? Cant see how thats possible? We allowed
him the press he agreed to. It just seems he doesnt know how to budget his releases. That is not our problem. As for promotion I think research would
show I did the majority of promotion for Hour of 13 and set up most of the interviews and reviews related to the debut release. And all the ads I have
seen dont mention any of his releases just his company logo with no artist mention? His unprofessionalism is unheralded, his immaturity is beyond
words. Anyone who has seen his visceral rantings about his other major signing Blood Ceremony as well as his attacks on other underground labels in
the scene can see the pattern here Im sure. Let me officially warn other artists to beware of SKR and the madman behind it. If you are considering
signing with SKR I suggest you do your research before coming to such a decision. As for another boycott on another x-SKR band? At what point do the
listeners support the labels over the bands that make the music? I think anyone who knows me also knows I was fully capable of releasing this record
on my own."

Additional notes on Tims comments:
As for the Sentinel Steel offering Denis at Sentinel Steel and I have been in business together since 1993 thats why the offer was made to him. He was the only one who supported me and UoE in the beginning. So where was I in the 90s? funny cuz there was actually a song from my 1993 demo posted on the Vestal Claret
myspace page that was the original version of "The Wake" later reworked by UoE. Also from that demo was the original "Dreamworld" also reworked later
by UoE. And just look at the last UoE record and anyone can see songs dating back as far as 1990. After those demos I was active in the x-over band Blastmat mor often than not compared to Motorhead and Discharge that released 2 CD. My history dates back to the 1980s as most know, though that really is unimportant in this new age of metal anyway. As for 1000 covers and 500 records. Most know it can be difficult to find a company willing to do short run printings of sleeves and more often than not the cost is the same for 500 as 1000 if you even try to shorten the run. Thats why so many companys pad their LP packages with empty covers.

Okay, it seems that Tim is not capable to solve problems like an adult. Making Hour Of 13 songs available for downloading via iTunes or whatever can be seen as an act of defiance. Well, I give a fuck about Tim's band signing politics, the only fear I have now is, that you put Hour Of 13 on the back burner. Keep your great work alive and sign any fuckin' record company you think it is a good one.

In late summer/early autumn there'll be a split LP on Metal Coven Records featuring almost half an hour of previously unreleased Vestal Claret stuff on the one side and some exclusive, brandnew Hour Of 13 tracks on the other. The first 50 copies will also include a limited VC three track CD. As far as I know Chad and Phil are also working on the songs for the next album, so the HO13 fans will definitely have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months.

Der Vergleich mit den Hanker-Forderungen hinkt in diesem Fall aber GEWALTIG.
